Aduna and EnStream partner to unlock Canada’s telecom network APIs for global innovation
STOCKHOLM, Feb. 27, 2025 – Aduna, a landmark venture between some of the world’s leading telecom operators and Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC), has announced a strategic partnership with Canada’s EnStream LP, marking a comprehensive Canadian expansion of its network API ecosystem.
The collaboration will enable seamless access to telecom network APIs from Bell, Rogers, and TELUS – Canada’s three leading nationwide operators – empowering developers and enterprises worldwide to build and scale next-generation digital services with greater security and efficiency.
EnStream, a joint venture between Bell, Rogers, and TELUS, has been instrumental in positioning Canada as a global leader in network APIs. By leveraging mobile data across the country’s largest telecom providers, EnStream has facilitated secure, frictionless authentication and fraud prevention solutions for businesses, including major financial institutions.
Through this partnership, EnStream’s powerful APIs will be integrated into Aduna’s platform, accelerating global adoption of telecom-enabled security and verification services. Among these are:
- Number Verification: A seamless, silent authentication method that enhances user experience while strengthening security
- SIM Swap Protection:A critical fraud prevention tool that detects potential account takeovers, helping businesses mitigate identity theft and cyber threats.
With full nationwide coverage exceeding 90 percent, Canada stands as a core innovation hub within Aduna’s ecosystem. Global enterprises will now have access to a live testbed for telecom-driven authentication and fraud prevention, gaining insights that can be scaled internationally through Aduna’s standardized (CAMARA-based) global network APIs.
This expansion reinforces Aduna’s footprint across North America – covering Canada, the U.S., and Mexico – a major region for the global network API market. Additionally, telecom operators worldwide can leverage insights from Canada’s real-world implementations to enhance their own network API strategies.
Upinder Saini, President and CEO, EnStream, says: “Our collaboration with Aduna represents a major step forward in bringing telecom-powered security and identity solutions to global enterprises. By combining Aduna’s extensive reach with EnStream’s expertise in telecom data, we are enabling businesses – both in Canada and globally – to seamlessly integrate secure, real-time authentication and fraud prevention capabilities.”

EnStream and Socure partner to fight against synthetic identity fraud in the Canadian market.
The leading identity verification and fraud prevention provider teams up with Canada’s only company with direct telecom data access to enable real-time risk signals to outsmart fraudsters.
TORONTO, ON. and INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. April 17, 2024. EnStream, Canada’s leading provider of real-time mobile intelligence to combat identity and transaction fraud and Socure, the pioneer of artificial intelligence for digital identity verification, sanction screening and fraud prevention, today announced the inclusion of EnStream’s unique data sets as a part of the Socure’s Sigma Synthetic fraud solution. By adding key mobile attributes powered by EnStream ML models, Socure will supercharge its industry-leading solution to prevent synthetic identity fraud across the Canadian market.
Synthetic identity fraud is one of the fastest-growing financial crimes, invisibly costing businesses billions each year. Fraudsters combine stolen, manipulated and fabricated attributes, such as name, address, phone, date of birth, and Social Security number, and when assembled create an entirely new and fictitious identity to defraud financial institutions, fintechs, government agencies, and other enterprises.
Previous research conducted by Socure indicates that the cost of synthetic fraud could rise to $5B in the US market by 2024. The Deloitte Center for Financial Services also projects synthetic identity fraud to generate at least $23 billion in losses in the U.S. by 2030. Canada is not immune to this type of growing fraud and is becoming a prime target for criminals.
“Socure is on a mission to eradicate the plague of synthetic fraud. By including EnStream’s privacy-protected, real-time and deterministic mobile intelligence they can enhance the accuracy of consumer profiles and interactions during the customer lifecycle,” said Upinder Saini, CEO of EnStream. “We look forward to supporting Socure’s growth in the Canadian market.”
“Socure leads the industry in accurate identity verification, and EnStream adds another powerful data layer to make our platform exponentially harder for criminals to manufacture synthetic profiles or hijack real identities,” said Josh Linn, SVP of Product at Socure.
